  • Drinking very well right now - slightly darker fruit than many Chambolle, but that’s a bit of the Lignier signature. No rush to drink these, but no harm in it either.

  • The 2010 Hubert Lignier Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is medium (-) ruby in colour with a perfumed nose of juicy cherries and some underlying minerality.

A very soft entry on the palate with bright thin-skinned berries and red skinned apples. The mid palate then progresses to perfumed wood notes with a lasting steely minerality. There's a good strength of acidity that gives the wine a good and firm structure. Soft but not flabby at all. Good concentration and juiciness; very clean and fresh in style. Great value stuff, very pleased to have tried one again.

  • The 2010 Hubert Lignier Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is bright medium (-) ruby in colour with a nose of fresh juicy red berries and a slight overlay of rustic earthy notes (one that may not be too typical of the 'seductive chambolle-musigny' stereotype).

On the palate, a soft entry of juicy red currants but more so, a burst of thin-skinned red cherries and berries. Very fresh and bright on the palate nonetheless. Soft throughout with a pleasant finish. With 13% alcohol stated on the label, the wine definitely hides its 'spike' pretty well. Good acidity that is rather mouthwatering, possibly contributing to the freshness of the wine. Drinking well now, but definitely has years ahead with such a well-made structure. This is one villages-level wine of a higher quality surely. (89-92)

  • Epaulé pendant 1 heure
Robe rouge clair, nez discret avec des notes de framboise
Bouche souple mais légèrement acide, aromes de fruits rouges (groseille, framboise) , belle longueur

Un vin de qualité mais un peu jeune.
