- Ruby color. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - In seemingly perfect place now. A balanced harmonious whole, still red fruits but dry, well grounded in earthy but soft tannins. Held up very well on second day.

Rosenthal Wine Merchant Saturday Tasting (Rosenthal Wine Merchant, New York, NY): Immediately more open on the nose than the Colli Senesi of the same vintage, and a bit darker in the glass, the bouquet shows violets and dusty cherries. The palate is dominated by dark fruit, including cooked plums. Still, there's an all-out attack of acid and tannins that makes the wine difficult to enjoy at this stage of its evolution. There's also a slight bitterness on the finish. I recommend at least two more years of bottle aging. NOT RATED.

Dark and very vino nobile. Not giving up much on the nose. But the palate is where it is at. Black and plum fruit, long, lengthy and mineral.
