Dark purple color. Very perfumed nose. Juicy, yet restrained dark fruit. A bit tannic still and very young. Could use a couple of years more in bottle and has a good 5-7 years ahead before any decline. A traditional bordeaux in style. Excellent with food. 13%abv.

Beautiful nose of wet foliage, pipe tobacco, moss, and wet tree bark. Mouth bursting with raspberry, bakers chocolate and mushroom, stiff tannins that are still integrating. Really nice, classic Bordeaux profile.

Château Fourcas Dupré, Listrac-Médoc 2012: Consistent with the 2010, this wine features a beautiful deep bordeaux red color with a royal purple hue. Still a bit closed and tight but with some vigorous swirling in the glass, the wine starts to reveal scents of ripe blackberries, freshly brewed coffee, a touch of smoky cedar wood with subtle hints of earth and minerals. Full-bodied, bold and concentrated, with flavors of wild blueberries, blackberries, dried strawberries, some graphite, medium-plus acidity with searing tannins as well as dark chocolate on the long and elegant finish. 13% Abv. Needs time.
