375ml. Slow ox for 4 hours. The color poured beef blood red in the glass with bricking near the rim. On the nose and palate a plethora of blue and black berries followed by perfumed juniper berries, cassis, menthol, green bell peppers, green olives and granite. Feminine and elegant for a wine with such a high ABV. Silky and quenching mid palate and a medium (+) finish. This is starting to lose its structure with the tannins fading and the acid starting to poke out a bit after 7 hours. Overall a nice showing though.

From a 375ml bottle. Deep amethyst purple core with no signs of fading near the edge. Decanted for one hour. What a pure and focused nose! Blackberries, blueberries, plums, and ripe raspberries were really singing in addition to the dusty ground coffee and milk chocolate that went straight into the vanilla and well integrated cinnamon flecked oak. Still has pretty good guts in it judging by the strength of the tannins which don't go unnoticed yet are still supple and rounded but probably have a few years to go before they're 100% ready. Medium + finish and a very enjoyable wine! I got a great deal on this at 45$ a bottle but at full retail i would have to say it's a terrible QPR...
