Some of the oldest CS vines in Napa find their way into this. Blackcurrant notes for sure, some blackberries and black cherries. Vanilla, dust, black pepper, tobacco, espresso. Medium + body, good structure. Good pairing with a prime rib. I don't think it will age much longer, though. (Maybe this is true of Napa '13s in general?)
Alas, for the $150+ price point, this leaves me cold. It isn't enough of a step up from the regular Grgich bottlings (which I like!) to justify the price.

Happy Accident. I thought I was opening 2010 Grgich Yountville butI accidentally opened the 2013. It is already marvelous. Perfectly balanced. Deep indigo, long legs. Exceptional nose of fall fruits, mountain minerals, and autumn spices. On the palate, a bevy of berries — blackberries, blueberries, and currant — matched with gorgeous oak and hints of exotic anise at the finish. The tannins are fine and well integrated, leading to a finish that caresses the taste buds with elegance.

Outstanding. Deep, dark, rich, multilayered, mult-textured. Yountville old vines at their best.

This could have scored higher with more air. Well made, full bodied, Cab. Tannins well integrated.

Very dark, ripe BlackBerry and obvious oak. The palate is very concentrated, energetic and long. This is a young beauty.
