Bought it at the winery more than a year ago. Served a bit chilled. Clear ruby red. Sangiovese nose. Smokey, some marzipan, plum, some meat. Pretty direct. After some time in the glas raspberry and mint arise. Medium body, relatively weighty for a rosso. Medium aftertaste. Round tannins, but noticeable. A great fit to heavy pasta. A great example from this class of wine. Although made for a rather early consumption it will uphold for a few years. Good now, will maybe reach its peak in 2016. Great everyday food wine that combines easy drinking with complexity and a very good price tag.

Nice bottle for the money. We had this with lamb and it held up nicely.

Retailer tasting: Light and friendly wine. Cherries and some oak. Good acidity and some drying tannin. Ok basic wine.
