Looks like I missed that "try in 2 years" by the same amount, but that seems to be alright. I actually popped this last night to sip standalone with a kids' movie and was so tired I barely made it through a glass. I recall feeling that it was maybe past prime with oxidative dried dark fruit notes, along with green and jalapeño pepper on the nose. Corked it and threw it back in the cellar and returned to it again post meal tonight, and to my surprise, it's drinking entirely better, much more alive.
Dense coloring with garnet to ruby at the edges. Aromas of dark fruit (no dried), violet, graphite, coconut, dark chocolate, cedar, earth, tar, jalapeño pepper, and sourdough. Not bashful in the mouth, with a burst of flavor concentration and acidity, still some grip to the tannin, medium body, long finish, and flavors of tart dark and dark red fruit, lemon, dark chocolate, and coconut. This is different than expressions of cab franc I tend to prefer and really more like a Cali cab or Bdx blend, but the delicious factor is high, and it's a great post meal sipper. I actually think there's potential for further development here, and I'm glad to have a few more.

Concentrated well balance cab franc. Extremely smooth with perfumed fruits and wonderful mouthfeel. Sorry I drank up the last bottle, wish I had bought more. A steal at the $18 I paid.

Very consistent to last year's note, big fruit still; let's have 2-3 more years before the next.
