Quite solid. Tasted like... SJR Syrah, nicely made. Well-balanced and delicious, though not quite as complex and interesting as the Delmas Syrah wines I've had from the same vineyard. Then again, this doesn't/didn't cost as much as the Delmas wines, either. If I'm correct in my understanding, it also doesn't have the Viognier co-ferment that the Delmas has, which I think adds something nice.

With a slight chill, this was singing tonight! Screechingly good acid, lifted aromatics, salty kalamatas, peppery leather, tar, lilies, sour and sweet black cherry and damson fruit. A savory but elegant beast, she's got a long and persistent finish. Liquid brisket, amped-up Côte-Rôtie. 12.5% ABV wheeee! Drink now or in a decade. Vacu-vinned and can't wait for day 2.

Clear, medium purple – sweet tea, black cherry, tobacco. Medium- acid, medium- tannins, 12.5% ABV, medium body, medium- finish. I prefer a certain amount of fruit in the palate, and this was a tad bit tertiary for me. I would drink now.

(Gramercy Cellars Syrah SJR Vineyard Walla Walla Valley) A winery club release from SJR Vineyard down in The Rocks, it’s a peppery, meaty, earthy, funky, savory wine with a pleasing citrus accent. The flavors are light, savory and delicious.

In a nice place now. It was best in the first 45 minutes to an hour after decanting, then started to fade.

lovely black currant/cherry notes. Savory and a tad earthly. Drinking exceptionally right now.
