Table wine from the winery being regional wine of Crete; blend of 60% Kotsifali and 40% Mantilaria, matured for 12 months in oak barrels. Vibrant red color, red fruits like cherries and strawberries but in light version, soft tannin; medium bodied, fine for Greek meze in taverna but otherwise nothing special.

By itself, thin and acidic. With authentic Greek cuisine it suddenly shines. Just proves that matching wine with food from the same country or region is a natural.

Nothing faulty, just a fairly easy-going red with decent fruit, ok acidity and even some tannin to support. Nice to drink chilled to a chicken-salad or so.
