An outstanding wine. Nose has red and black fruit along with licorice, plum, and spice. Maybe a bit of earth too. Palate is bright and balanced with developing toffee and salted caramel notes. Earthiness, herbes de provence, bacon fat, and more licorice come through nicely. I can see this working with red meats and Mediterranean dishes with capers and herbs. Very long finish.

drank this wine w Tony C night after worst tornado outbreak in modern history. 200 dead in Alabama alone. Maybe appreciation of living influenced me but this grenache was still great. Exactly what I look for in this grape.

Decanted about 30 minutes. Garnet red color with lightening at the rim. Cherries, raspberries, white pepper, vanilla, and a bit of dried herbs on the nose. Medium body with solid, ripe tannins and very nice acidity. Nice red fruit on the palate with loads of spice and pepper. Real nice, lingering finish with peppery cherries. This still tastes young. My last bottle but if I had more, I wouldn't be in a hurry to pop more. This is real nice and in no way syrupy or sweet.

I wanted to be wow'd by this wine but wasn't. This is just a nice every day red, strong on the dark fruit.
