Slightly brown color on the rim. When tasted in July 2015 the color was more bright and cherry red. Dark berries, dryed plum, ripe cranberry. Good tannins, well balanced, long but not overwhelming finish. Awesome with classic Tuscan meat dishes. Drink now.

Clear ruby. Nose is full of tobacco, charred wood and other toasty nuances revealing the barrique aging of this RDM. Beneath the oak there is a vein of dusty red cherry trying to burst through. On the palate there is amble acidity lending freshness to an expression of dusty cherry, gravel, tocacco, and pain grillé! I fear now that the fruit will not last long enough for the heawy oak aroma to recede. This wine is all about red cherry and barrique induced complexities, but could have benefitted from far less intervention. 55+ 10 + 14+8

Smooth bigger red with notes of spice. Fuller bodied than many of the wines from this area. Very smooth and velvety.

Carpe Vino!; 11/9/2014-11/15/2014 (Tuscany (Florence, Montalcino, Siena)): I preferred it to the standard Rosso table wine we had first. It was a much darker color but still a nice easy drinking wine. Mostly dirt and red fruit flavors.
