Decanted and drank about an hour later. Very good still, although I’m sure much more mellow than had been drank a number of years prior. Lots of earthiness with dark berry backbone.

Some seepage evident when I cut the capsule, but the cork came out intact. Purple, not deep, but not pale, color. Nose filled with dark cherry and black plum. Fruit bursts forward on the attack, with the stone fruit carrying through, accompanied by an explosion of perfectly ripe blackberries. The tannins take a moment to kick in, but when they do they are firm and structured. Fruit fades through the lingering finish, but the velvety mouthfeel remains persistent. Probably a bit past its peak, but drinking nicely. Don’t bother holding on to this much longer

Beautiful production from Baldacci, a lovely Stags Leap Cabernet and drinking wonderfully, actually at its best at this point. Purple black ripe fruit, sweet oak, creme de cassis, licorice, full bodied with good extraction as I have stated in previous notes. Delicious.

first time drinking this and I was extremely surprised. For the money its a great bottle. Very well rounded and drinking nice right now. Still could age some more but had a nice amount of sediment in the bottle. wish I had more of this year!
