Deepest color of the flight though still fairly light in the greater context. Stone, mineral and apple notes. The palate follows the bouquet. Medium-bodied, with wonderful minerality and balancing acidity. Excellent, 90-91 pts.

Chicago Wine Flock...Burgundy Al Asks "Is it Grand Cru?" (My home - Chicago IL): Served blind alongside the 2012 Chassagne AC and Bâtard-Montrachet. I knew the 3 wines, but not the order. Bits of peach, ripe apple and key lime with spice hints. Forward and enjoyable, with a well textured and elegant finish. More complex than the Villages, but more accessible than the Bâtard, making it straightforward to identify this in the lineup.

intial impression (day 1) showed no significant evolution or change from 2015 note. this showed much better on day 2 with half the bottle left under cork in the fridge..

very nice, nose of honeysuckle. the fruit is ripe and this is pretty full-bodied and fat but not excessively so. my first taste of the producer and also the champsgain lieu diet, very good if pricey.

4th Saturday Group: Uptown Brown Bag (M&R): Served double blind to the group, but I knew the order so was not tasting blind.

The Arts Club Version of the 1976 Judgement of Paris, With Steven Spurrier (The Arts Club, London): Tasted Blind.
A touch of a bitter edge and on the linear side, lacked charms and depth of fruit. Maybe its because its young but it lacked drink-ability in a way . Well made and not overdone in any way but dare we say it culd use a bit more oak in its elevage? 88
