Kinda forgot I had this and wasn't expecting much from an '11 Also, last week had a Bedrock that Matt T served and was vinted to be more cab like - not a great mix This was delicious, ranks up with the best Carlisle, Turley, and Bedrock zins (has some mouvedre). Wish I had more

Still drinking well. Easy drinking, smooth, more fruit than expected 😋 Rich spice and cherry on nose. Purple dried fruit on palate. The unbalanced tannins have integrated beautifully. Moderate length and conplexity on finish.

Popped and poured. Lots of dark berries on the palate. Great aromatics. Minimal if any heat. Good on its own, also went well with Home cooked Mexican food. Wonder what this was like upon release as it was still hey big boy.

PnP, with a touch of heat showing on the nose. Bramble, dark berry, and milk chocolate coalesce, and the heat stays (mostly) below the surface. Powerful, with just enough finesse where it's needed.

Took 60 mins for initial alcohol heat to soften, but then was excellent with dinner.
