I'm not getting it blind, but I believe I would have guessed Cali Pinot anyway. Strawberry mixed with cassis and rhubarb together with clay from a lake is what comes up from the glass. There's a touch of herbs and asian spice as well and fragrances mirror what you get in the mouth. Really nice wine with good blood orange acidity, there are tannins, but ripe and well rounded. Flavours are pretty classy and the alcohol, 14,5%, is fairly well disguised. Very nice Pinot for short or possibly mid-term drinking. 88-89-ish.
