Cork disintegrated upon extraction. Decanted for an hour. Stewed dark red plum colour with a thin rim. Smells excellent! Savoury sweet nose of spiced black and red berries, especially black currant, old leather, black earth, charred oak and light graphite. Medium bodied, very soft, nicely balanced, no tannins, very dry. Flavours of soft stewed bumbleberry fruit, toasted oak, pie crust(?!?), black currant leaf, plum skins, graphite and fine yet astringent tannins on the finish. Very, very dry. Good dark crunchy fruit replays with some stalkiness on the finish. Fully mature and likely.won't get any better but should still last a couple more years.

A recent re-release from Stratus from the epic 2010 vintage this wine still has years of life and evolution ahead.
A big, bold Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend, aromas of olive tampenade, new leather, smoke and tobacco leaf jump from the glass with just a hint of black cherry and blackberry.
Palate is full with fine but unresolved tannins and juicy acidity. Alcohol is high but beginning to integrate.
Excellent length. Would love to try this again in 2030.

Full ruby red, very clear, no sediment. A bit funky on the nose. Red and black fruits with cocoa nibs, sandlewood, black plums and ink on the nose. Medium bodied, tart acidity, chalky tannins and a dry finish. Black currant, plum skins, iodine, cedar and ink on the palate. Finish is dry, moderately long with tart black fruit and chalky tannins. Quite nice if a bit soft and relatively simple.

Well rounded Bordeaux blend. Medium body and well balanced. Missing a touch of earth tones. Color is ruby red and clear. No bricking. At it's peak and should be there for another 2-3 years.

Nose: - smoky-cassis, vanilla and cedar - there's an alcohol heat that materializes with time.
Taste - smoky-licorice and coffee bean ... Nice tannin punch with mocha finish - fruit seems to be hiding or even gone.
By the end fruit (what there is) is teetering on the edge.
