  • I decanted and tasted the wine in the evening, but did not like it as I found it to be too big and broad, and decided to drink it the next day. The next evening the wine offered concentrated mixed berries, lots of coffee, dark chocolate, Asian spice, liquorice and vanilla, with bitter oak, good acidity and very good length. The bitter oak was overbearing and off-putting. By day three, the acidity was pronounced and the fruit had become a little raisiny. I might have misjudged the wine at a tasting about three years ago as I liked it much less this time. A tough call, but the wine might be in an in-between phase and I would hold remaining bottles for at least five years. 88(?)

  • On kyllä upea pn; lähempänä uuden seelannin tyyliä kuin chileä. Äärimmäisen puhdas ja herskyvän marjainen tuoksu, jossa pääroolia näyttelee karpalot ja villivadelmat. Hyvä hapokkuus, mutta burgundimaista mineraalisuutta ei löydy. Coravinilla maistettu, nyt n. puolipulloa jäljellä. Saatava lisää...

  • “Pinot Noir around the world”-tasting (blind), flight 3, wine 2: The wine was medium ruby in colour and offered a brooding nose of cola and red and dark fruit that promised potential. On the palate the wine showed red and dark fruit, coffee and some vanilla, with good acidity, slightly astringent medium-level tannin and very good length. This medium-bodied Pinot Noir showed good potential, but will need time to unfold and integrate the oak. My no. 3 of the tasting, group’s no. 6 of 11.

  • neither the most welcoming of bouquets nor the subtlest of wines but well made and very moreish nonetheless - the tannins are already well integrated but it might even improve further with age

  • Drank as part of a Pinot tasting.
Deep inky colour, some purple/blue in the glass.
Pungent generous nose of cherry, blackcurrant and leather.
Round and generous mouth. Long: 1 min+. This was a real joy to taste. Still giving pleasure hours after opening.
