I think that I liked the nose best: maybe a bit yeasty, a little citrus and mineral. The taste was not bad, but did not match the expectation delivered by the nose and seemed to dominate as we got further into the bottle. More going on here and more interesting as compared to similarly priced Cali sparklers.

The Second Annual Blind Tasting of American Sparkling Wine: Retail $36. 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir. Pale yellow. Mineral and slight green apple. A bit lacking in fruit on the palate but good acidity and a bit of yeast. Yum. Excellent. 90-92 Points. thedrunkencyclist.com

Outstanding value. In a blind tasting, this could easily be mistaken for a Champagne from a good vintage, costing 2-3 times as much. The nose is medium plus in intensity with lemon and brioche aromas. The palate is consisent, with medium plus acidity and a long clean finish. Very good. Drink now.

Apples and pears. More dimension than the Chandon we had earlier.
