From 75cl, good cork, discoloured at wine end. Best after 1 hour at cool room temperature. I prefered this 18 months ago. There is evident floral-honeyed Hermitage blanc action on the nose and a super-clean, fat, concentrated Rhône blanc taste profile, but I can find no sign of the glories recorded e.g. in my TN of 29.05.2016 and by other CT TN writers below. 89-90P

13.5%, Marsanne 95%, Roussanne 5%. Golden yellow, medium plus bodied, slightly oily. Nose of sweet vanilla, some nectar, honey, toasted almond. Very much like a soft fragrant red wine. Finish with oak, vanilla and mint. Needs some aerating like reds. Best around 15˚C.

From 75cl, v. good cork, discoloured at end. This was markedly less impressive than my bottle recorded in my TN of 29.05.2016; we both agreed it lacked the expressive scent we had hoped for. Nonethless, this was a big, bold, expressive C.d.Rhône of excellent quality. Lovely dry honey-essence notes on the finish. Put it down to bottle variation or perhaps that discoloured cork? In this condiditon a solid 90P

From 75cl, OK cork. Intense dark yellow colour. Big, thick, viscous texture. Scent: Nectar, pollen, ground almonds, dried apricot, honey: Superb. Palate: More the of the same, excellent purity, massive concentration, strong acidity coming through as it warms up. For my palate better slightly chilled (I know this is Hermitage Heresy). Wonderful wine and a fine value; good for many years to come. 92-93P

Good balance of rich fruit and minerality. Drinking well. No rush.
