From a friend's cellar, purchased in 2015, kept at ideal temp of 53F....at dinner. On nose: toasted , buttered almonds, and dried apricot. On palate: above flavour notes amplified, as well as a ghost of Seville orange peel, mace( the spice, not the spray!) nougat , bruised apple , warm vanilla/ oak, and a note of Jasmine tea.....displayed on a full , dense body with still present acidity, keeping it fresh.....after a 2 hour decant....only hint of approaching oxidation. Drink over the next year.

13 months after the prior: Consistent — and again showing an oily character, backing up slightly bitter and floral notes. Enjoyable enough over three nights, but we are not rushing out to get current vintages.

From 75cl, excellent cork, opened but not decanted 1 hour, improved until final drop. Aromatically closed, this excellent entry-level Hermitage nonetheless had some nice retronasal pollen action, hints of honeysuckle and plain honey on the entry and a mediom-bodied unctuous texture. Good value for the appellation, I suppose. No hurry. 90P
