An irresistible nose of stone fruit, lemon chiffon and touch of butter. Linear and concentrated at first, with an intensity of fruit that only came into balance as the wine warmed and what acidity there was gained more prominence. Good persistence. Lacked vibrancy but was very enjoyable. Past peak I think, but not by much, and the last sips were the best.

peach, cream, white florals, saline, lemon, crushed rock, citrus zest and oak spice.
Wonderful fullness and richness on the palate, the orchard fruit really shines complimented with pretty floral aromatics and a touch of spice. Oak is well integrated and the mouthfeel is creamy and velvety with a nice cut of refreshing acidity.
tasted alongside a 2010, this edged it out being a little more full on the palate. really in a fantastic spot

It had a fine nose of white peach, citrus, white flowers and butter. In the mouth it was compact and linear, with wonderful fruit intensity and a big lick of salty mineral to the finish

Casual Omakase Dinner (Juno - Chicago IL): Started slightly musty but with nicely pronounced spearmint. Mustiness faded gradually over 30 minutes, leaving ripe apple and pear in its wake. Continued to open and expand, with the final taste as the best and most concentrated. Very good now, possibly slightly better in a year or two, 2016-2023.
