Tasted over 3 hrs -med red mild bricking -funky savory Gevrey earth sous bois black pepper -med acidity, med/med- weight lively savory Gevrey earthy spice saline with a little bit of oak on the finish along with some mildly dried out tannins of the vintage -very enjoyable and exactly what I would expect from the vintage, producer and site, on its mature plateau

Crimson in color. Muted nose of sour dark red cherries, whiff of dried florals, hummus and leather. Interesting palate that is more viscous than expected showing savory berry reduction, hoisin, smoky brown sauce, and a slightly clipped finish showing tree bark and earth. So, so but no green meanies in this.

Medium ruby with light bricking. Extremely reductive sulfur/burnt matchstick nose that takes a good 20 minutes in the glass to blow off. The reveals a mix of dark flowers, morello cherries, wet leaves and twigs and hung meat. The palate still shows sweet red berry fruit, hint of savory meat and minerality, medium acidity, fully resolved tannins and a medium finish. Not bad, for a 2004.

Pale red; certainly showing age. Light red fruit in the strawberry range with nice secondary notes of leather, light barnyard and savory notes. Balanced palate with moderately long finish. Very enjoyable now. Drink up.

3/6, excellent cork. Pale/medium garnet, wide pale garnet/mahogany rim. Fragrant, red fruited nose, spice, white pepper, touch of meat. Medium bodied, fresh red-fruited, savoury gaminess, very fine tannins, spice, fresh acids, good depth here and carries well into a good length, spicy, lightly peppery finish. Elegant, mature. Decent for the vintage.
