- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of cherry, vanilla and black pepper. It's balanced and has flavours of raspberry, cherry and black pepper with a full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Decanted one hour. The wine needs time, cellared well. Ready to drink now.

PnP. A very smooth and balanced medium plus bodied wine. A blend of 59% Syrah, 32% Cab Sauv., and 9% Petit Verdot. There are red, dark red, and a touch of blue fruits. Also on the palate is some earth, balancing acidity, a touch of tannins, and a slight touch of green pepper (to which I am very sensitive). Should hold for another year or two. Nice effort from the brothers Daou.

A very enjoyable big red that is smooth and balanced and went well with our stacked burgers. Dark fruit of plum and blueberries, cedar, vanilla, lots of black pepper and a soft tannic finish. We love this wine the way it is now, but can easily go for a few more years.

An smooth and easy drinking dark fruit wine. This wine has a certain roundness to it. Not an overly expressive nose. The palate shows lush blackberry fruit, some cedar and vanilla and black pepper spice. The light tannic finish has a medium dryness that works great with food.

I love this Syrah/Cab/Petit Verdot blend. I know that they love their cabs, but some of these other wines that blend in some unique other grapes really are just wonderful. Should age a lot longer, but irresistible!
