A note of fresh herbs and minerals, along with white fruit on the nose. A brisk entry on the palate, followed by herbs and a ripe melon/peach roundness, with a waxy quality; fairly rich finish punctuated with a decidedly acidic note. A somewhat unusual, but nice, wine.

Port4olio Tasting (O Hotel, LA): This spends some time in wood. Buttery oxidation notes. Very fresh and even grippy. It all added up to a pretty good wine.

Nose of light creamy dusty white floral and light sweet spice (vanilla?) and perhaps some light stone fruit. In the mouth creamy with slightly bitter slightly sour fruit (lemon, nectarine), firm acid, with hints of light spice, nuts or wood, scrubby herb and mineral. Finish fades of slightly bitter wood and nuts. Dry. Body light to medium, acid medium.

Lively pale gold. Pronounced aromas of stone fruit; appricots and peaches, accacia and mineral touches. Full in body. Same fruit and floral tones on the palate. The finish is medium plus but with some astringency.
