  Cool, fragrant, elegant nose with distinct fruit mixed with barely detectable tertiary notes. Grip surprises and gives way to a lithe body. Very long, fragrant finish. A touch of spice. Much fresher, more exciting than the 2008 tonight. Best at four hours decanted. Possibly at its peak if you prefer some primary fruit and freshness.

  Curious showing. Meaty and blue fruited on the nose. Delicate, light bodied in the mouth. A vague creamy sensation across the palate as it developed in the glass. Normally a favorite wine of mine, just pleasant today.

  Ouvert en PNP. Excellent rien de moins. Aurait pu paraître un peu plus complexe s’il avait été bu seul (sans le repas) et plus lentement mais la visite lui a rapidement fait honneur.

  Rogue night at Mato in Hong Kong. Decanted as I knew this would need some air, but enjoyed quite quickly amongst friends.
  
  Unfortunately, I felt this was overshadowed in a wonderful line-up of predominantly non-Burgs. Big, bold, earthy and structured, red/blue fruit dominant as you'd expect from this terroir - however it definitely felt a bit closed and would need a combination of more air and ideally more time.
  
  Give it another 3+ years, and let it breathe. Would be keen to revisit, as I feel like the Domaine's winemaking has been on the up since 2010.
