  Very juicy with attractive fruit driven character, accompanied by plenty of earthy spice. Palate was a little unripe and disjointed in my personal opinion, tannins not integrated and acidity very high. This needs decanting well in advance but was missing concentration to support those firm tannins, which of course is what you would expect from 2012. Cannot deny this wine is still very well made but there are better examples of Gevrey at this price point.

  Rather serious but pure Gevrey. Good material here but hard to approach. But with some air it evolves. Probably best with an hour + of air and a few more years in the cellar. Do think Trapet hype and pricing is outpacing reality of the wines

  Dès l'ouverture ça sent bon et une fois dans le verre c'est un festival: des fleurs, du fruit rouge frais, du poivre, léger trait de vert et quelques notes fumée et reglissées. Le lendemain l'aromatique a gagné en complexité avec des notes ferreuses/sanguines et d'orange tout en gardant précision et élégance.
  La bouche est clairement bâtie sur la délicatesse. On n'est pas sur un Gevrey en muscle mais cela ne manque pas de présence dans un registre fuselé et dynamique. Très joli grain fin de texture qui renforce cette impression d'élégance.
  Très belle finale, intense sur le minéral et les fleurs.
  
  Que c'était bon, quelle intensité aromatique et quelle classe. Un des meilleurs pinots bu ces derniers temps !

  Nez tout d'abord marqué par un élevage lacté pas du meilleur effet. Il se met rapidement en place dans le verre pour dévoiler des senteur de fruits rouges frais, de fleur. Un léger trait de vert et de fumée amène de la complexité. Tres joli !
  Bouche élégante, lumineuse, dans un registre léger mais avec une belle intensité aromatique. Le vin est droit, longiligne, sans rigidité avec une texture de soie. Aucun déficit de matière, contrairement à d'autres rencontres avec les vins du domaine.
  Finale d'un très bonne persistance, éclatante avec toujours cette intensité aromatique avec des sensations minérales.
  
  Très très beau. A aérer un peu pour en profiter dès à présent !

  This is gorgeous Burgundy on the high-acid side although after an hour the acids calmed down enough to allow the beautiful cherry fruit and silky elegance of this wine to show itself. The finish builds to a tangy, crunch of minerals and red spices. Will clearly keep improving but hard to resist now. 93+
