Loved this. Really evolved and nuanced Ch de Pape. Savoury but still with touch of sweetness. Confused by tasting notes from the community from 2016 saying ‘drink up’. Id say still got 2 years or so.

After being open for several hours I have to say that this seems to be falling apart just a little bit on the nose. Nutty and evolved and time to drink up. 100% Grenache Blanc.
Slightly disappointed with this entry level Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Ruby red, full bodied with aromas of raspberry and red currant. Some flower notes in the back seat and a barnyard finish. I'm starting to think you need to $100+ to get a good French wine. Please connect me if I'm wrong.

Good color. The nose is a bit fruity, showing aromas of raspberry, strawberry, garrigue and pepper. This is medium bodied on the palate with ok concentration and a soft texture. Easily approachable. The medium plus length finish shows somewhat rustic tannins.

Second bottle, just opened. Less hazelnut, more lemon, but still evolved, and the palate holds but still is evolved. Drink up.
