  What a pleasent surprise this wine was! It was opened by Stefanos T. who thought that it would be an overmature-oxidized wine and had bought it out of curiosity. Medium tawny color and obviously hazy. Evolved but absolutely healthy nose of kirsch liqueur, aged brandy, sweet plum, Asian spices, dried fig and leather. Medium-bodied with fully resolved tannins, balancing acidity and the fruit is still there, sweet and healthy! Long aftertaste. We really enjoyed this wine.

  Delicious mature Chateauneuf du Pape!
  Color is healthy and clear leaning towards orange.
  Nose is very expressive and while fully developed and 60 years old, there isn't even the slightest hint of tiredness. Aromas are beautiful and complex, cherry liqueur, exotic spices, dried flowers, dried fruit like fig. Really nice... On the palate tannins are completely resolved, texture is very mellow and flavor is intense. Finish is long.
