Looking back at my purchase notes this was bought over 3 years ago. A very deep amethyst color. My wife remarked how purple this wine was. This is probably the 3rd Pinotage we had so I do not have any reference for this varietal. It was an interesting experience and I think the age calmed down the tannins. There was a vegatal note on the palate that I could not quite place.

Intense violet colour. First nose of tabaco, and with some air more fruit (cassis, currants). More balanced than the warwick we tasted before this one. But the acidity tends to stick on the palate and becomes unpleasant towards the aftertaste. Certainly too young. A good effort.
