Pronounced intense nose of plum, black currant, menthol, cedar, and hint of smokiness.
On the palate brooding black plum, black cherry, slate, and smoked meat.
Medium alcohol, medium body, medium- acidity, grippy tannins and nice salinity.
Pinotage is known to make high alcohol wines, but Southern Right makes a balanced wine with a modest 13.5% alcohol while retaining good acidity, thanks to low yields and cooler temperatures.
This is a beautiful wine with restraint and depth.

I think this is the second time I’ve had a Pinotage. This is so good I really need to try it more often.
Medium bodied and well balanced. Smoky meat, read fruit, & earthiness on the nose. Red fruit, cherry, plum, raspberry. Smooth tannins and acids.
