Orange and pear on the nose. Tastes of honey, pirneapple, pear with a hint of appple. Very concentrated with full extraction. Good acidity despite the hot year. A bit heavy on the complex finish. Not a food wine. Interesting nonetheless.

July Wine Tasting at Cardinal Liquors (Cardinal Liquors, Crystal Lake, IL (NW Chicago Suburbs)): An excellent wine with all of the characteristics of an outstanding Vouray (Mountlouis-Sur-Loire is directly across the river from Vouray). Notes of honey, honeysuckle blossoms, minerals, almonds all leap from the glass. A nice amount of acidity balances the flavor and creates a beautifully executed wine with tremendous depth and complexity.

A nice wine, a little short on complexity, but a nice off dry weight for summer dessert drinking. Decent cut.

Nice riesling alternative; more depth than a typical riesling.

Honey and apricot on the nose and the initial taste. Midpalate was viscous and sweet. Finish was slightly bitter, celery.
