Needed a short bit to open up, but after 20 minutes or so in the glass it was spot on. Black cherry, underripe strawberry, sandalwood, mushroom, some brick-like minerality, a minuscule amount of oak on the finish. Medium+ acidity, med- tannin. The body is light, but not lacking. It is certainly showing some secondary notes, but still feels pretty youthful.
Not having a ton of Burgundy experience, I would have expected a 12 year old VV to be more advanced at this point. I can see it continuing to improve for a few years still as it balances out.

Very green nose. Licorice, white pepper. Excellent short acidity on the palate that fades into a nice finish. Light, delicate, delightful. More fruit on the finish, almost jammy/candy? notes to it though.

This was a pop and pour. It was a bit shy at first and needed some time in glass and air to unravel into balanced and savory tones of earth, sour red cherries, raspberries, spice notes, leather, currants, brown spices, sandalwood, and dark red berries. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and deft with tart, medium+ acid and silky, medium tannins. This is still very much a young wine that needs more time. Everything is there for this to really turn a corner in a few years, but it's a bit reticent and shy that holds it back somewhat. I would love to try this again in another 5ish years when it's fully settled in.

This now showing a lot of maturity - it's developed that more high toned, balsamic quality - but there's still that gorgeous red fruit showing through.
