Age has been good to this wine. 90 minute decant, 58 F. Very aromatic nose, with raspberry, chocolate and a bit of funky earth. Lively, integrated acidity. Alcohol very well integrated at this point. Medium-bodied with silky tannins that gradually evolved to velvet with air. Slightly tart red fruits on the palate, balanced by notes of sweet and spicy oak notes. Lingering finish. The wine continued to evolve and improve with air, should still have some time left.

Ordered from the wine list at Apia in Spicewood, TX. Had the 18 course tasting menu with AKS, Eric Hare and Joe Niehaus. Amazing meal. This wine complimented all the courses. Great food wine. New world but not over the top. Good terroir: earthy, bright and some minerals. Would buy again.
