Ripe pineapples and melon with hints of honeysuckle and some rose water on the nose. This wine really held a great color and I was blown away by how well it aged. I had super low expectations and it surpassed them all. It has a little effervescence in the glass that faded after opening. Lots of honeydew melon and pineapple on the front end with a solid firm finish. Great mouth feel on this one not to much sugar, but a great representative Riesling.
Paired it with a spicy Chinese Chicken Salad with a spicy peanut dressing.

12%, screwcap, stored temperature controlled since purchase. Straw yellow. No stone fruit / floral smells; smells dry and lemony, like Aussie riesling, but tastes slightly off dry. Medium weight, 15 sec. finish.

So, as an experiment, I laid this down for a few years to see if this style (and AVA) can age. As I enjoy that Petrol smell, I was rewarded for this patience.
There is still plenty of fruit to be found here, but the Petrol aroma has increased and the acidity is medium and soft.
On the palate white peach, lime leaves, Linden tree, & crushed stone echo - with a medium + finish. She’s a sweet little number...but I think it’s more from the fruit than residual sugar.

Nice Riesling. No signs of age yet. Still retaining crisp acidity and fruit.
