  • Last bottle and absolutely stunning. Lemon cream, fried almonds, wet chalk, and that lovely touch of caramelised peaches on the finish. Everything is so pure, so layered - lots of finesse and very slick. Surprisingly, I found this less rich with the extra age, but there is definitely that emerging nuttiness, so I'm happy with when I drank this. Will hold for another year or two for sure.

  • See Juneau below. Really not that much to this wine so pretty disappointed

  • Prior bottle was just over four months ago and my notes were consistent. Apple, pear, lemon and light vanilla on the nose. Medium bodied with the same flavor profile from my prior bottle: apple and pear upfront with white peach and melon through the middle. Tart citrus notes and acidity on the backside contributed to the very good balance this bottle demonstrated. Fruit shows as rounded and open overall. Should be able to hold this level for another year or two, but I would drink these over that time to enjoy them at this level.

  • Prior bottle was just over 16 months ago and this bottle recaptured my even-more-positive impressions from 2018. Pear, lemon and just a touch of vanilla on the nose along with nice, mixed background white orchard notes. Medium bodied with white apple and pear upfront, but with a mid-body (showing soft peach mixed with white melon) that was both more rounded and more expressive than my immediately prior bottle. Good density and depth here, but all kept in balance by the nice acidity and tart citrus notes on the backside and through the finish. This wine a a deft balance of white orchard and tart citrus and rather than feeling more youthful and tight (as my bottle from March 2019 did), this bottle felt open and integrated (in line with my bottle from June 2018). Serving temperature made the difference I thought it would. Should be able to hold this level for some additional time, but as I don't see room for additional improvement, I will probably open my last bottle in November 2020.

  • Prior bottle was nearly nine months ago, but tonight the wine showed much more like my original bottle from July 2017. Apple and pear on the nose with some light vanilla and hints of peach. Medium bodied and much tighter and much more noticeably tart as compared to both my immediately prior bottle and the 2011 Chanin Los Alamos Chardonnay from last night. Apple and pear upfront, with a touch of melon. Mid-body gains some depth, but not quite the roundness and integration of the prior bottle. Backside shows tartness and plenty of citrus notes, especially lemon. Vanilla and spices work through the finish. Overall, I thought the wine still showed well, but simply more youthful and tighter while I was expecting something a bit more open and integrated like my immediately prior bottle. May try to serve it a bit warmer next time and maybe have it open a bit more in advance. Probably will wait until early 2020 for my next bottle as it will clearly improve with time.
