  • Mushroom and cedar nose, old leather. Cherry with good acidity, long earthy finish and just a little sanguine.

  • Volnay night at P90. 2+ hours of air in bottle. Drank in Schott Zwiesel Select.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of red cherries, strawberries, some potpourri and airy florals. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), soft medium- tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, strawberries, stony minerality, melted potpourri. Long finish.
Very good quality. Elegant airy Volnay. A lot less serious than the other Volnays of the night. Good mouth-feel. Going for elegance. Drink and enjoy over next 4-5 years as it develops a bit more. Doesn't need a lot of time.
