  Siggy's Annual BBQ (Chez Siggy & Jenny's Place, Mpls, MN): Dark red color. Small glass. Nice dose of funk, dark fruits, dark cherry and deep berry notes, blueberry, iron and minerality, subtle herbal notes, medium plus body.

  Dark, brooding, earthy, no discernible fruit, almost a bit disjointed. Disappointing, as we usually love cote Rotie.

  Ripe strawberry, iron, blue fruits, and brooding richness on the nose. More intense on the palate with added gaminess, but just a bit tight and slightly hollow on the midpalate. Maybe it'll open up more later. Still has a good life ahead of it with no rush to pop any.

  Drinking great right now. Smoked meat, herbs, more red fruited than dark fruit and a little Levet funk which is right in my wheel house. Fine tannins with a great amount of acidity. Will hold for much longer but was worth checking in on
