  Nose is full of cherry, raspberry, and some herbs. The palate is full of cocoa, cherry, and leathery tannin. Mouthfeel is quite suedelike, but the alcohol is a little bit more out of balance, perhaps due to the late hang time harvest. Very interesting wine because the amarone-ish cocoa notes and prune notes are sort of present, while fighting with the cooler fruit of mountain nebbiolo.

  Deep, concentrated, but shows a velvety texture, rich and mouthfilling. Raisin, plum sauce, topped in chocolate, earth, black tea, vanilla, herbs. This seems to have its best years ahead of it. Not exactly a style I am drawn to a lot, but highly enjoyable.

  Decanted with steak. Lovely fruit very much still present, with great complexity and lift. Mid body, mid+ acid, 14%. Wondering if the "no AR PE PE riservas" advice is correct...
