{magnum, not mine} Not something I'd have opened so early on, but definitely something I will taste if it is open. This had been open for maybe an hour or two, and after an hour or two spent with it, I can say (no surprise) a fan of this wine, but it's tragically young and reticent right now, despite the collective wishes at the dinner. Red fruited, with plenty of soil and herbal notes, though none were green. I suggest to let this rest another 3-5 years before checking in on it - acids and tannins are slightly overwhelming the fruit, etc. Has great potential.

Ordered a bottle, followed it all night, nursing one glass for most of it. Gifted the rest to the somm. Gotta take the L in the name of Science.

Light and elegant Nebbiolo from the Valtellina. Quite complex. A match for many barolos. And very much open for business already. Love it.
