fully evolved and pronounced nose of juicy black fruits, pepper and some vanilla and spice. A very fruit forward aroma.
Full bodied with a medium acidity and still a fair bit of tannin structure. Very good flavor concentration with a medium plus to long(ish ).
No one will confuse this for an elegant Northern Rhone, but it certainly delivers and went very will with a 1.5 KG grilled Florentine T Bone cooked on the rare side.
This would probably hold up another 5 years in the cellar, but no need to wait.

Decanted for 15 minutes with some slight sediment. A deep purple color. A nose of dark red fruits, spice, and a touch of blue fruits. The medium bodied palate showed lots of spice with some plum, and dark red & blue fruits. The tannins were integrated, and the acidity was balancing. Overall, a nice wine, but not a wow wine. Not as mouth filling as some TNs from 2 years ago, which was a surprise. May not be the lack of upfront air time as the wine did not continue to flesh out during the meal.

Delicious, but not as good as the Les Collines vineyard bottle from the same year. Would wait another 3-5 years before drinking second bottle.

Still tasting fresh, berries, vanilla. Maybe it's lost half a step from peak drinking, but still delicious effort. But do drink up.
