jonahfactor has a great tasting note on this wine. The soy wasn't that present in this bottle that was in his bottle... Tannins are well integrated at this point. Very nice wine. Screams Napa Valley compared to all the other wines we had at OTBN 2017. Sorry that this was my only bottle of this as well. Great memory.

Already at first sip I was saddened that this is our only bottle. Still dark ruby red in the glass with no hint of bricking with a prominent necklace of gutsy legs. A full-throttle bouquet -- is that dark berries, mint and leather slathered in soy sauce? Spice and cocoa beans in the palate surrounding a core of dark, ripe pit fruits. Picks up some occasional pesky string bean notes in the bouquet and on the palate, which keeps me from rating it higher. Medium- to full-bodied with great texture. The soy and mint notes return in the finish. Surprisingly, the tannins haven't yet completely melted into this wine; but they're close. As far from your typical heavy-handed Napa cult offering as you can get, with an elegance that makes you want to ponder it all night. (If only this were a magnum.) I'd have guessed it to be a Pomerol from a warm-year vintage. (53% Cab. Sauv., 27% Merlot, 20% Cab. Franc). A real treat. Great recommendation, Scott Mc!

BRICK RED COLOR, PINK ON THE EDGE. BLACK CHERRIES, CHOCOLATE, LEATHER, AND A TOUCH OF HERBACEOUSNESS IN THE NOSE. BLACKBERRIES, CURRANTS, DEEP BERRY FRUIT IN THE FLAVOR. COMPLEX, LONG FINISH
