Coravin fun - Corton (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Blackcurrant and, like the 2009, a very slight resinous notes, sweet spice, a touch of savouriness and meaty underpin grows with time. Fleshy, juicy, black hued fruits, talc textured tannins, a sense of 'roundness' on the palate. Long, finishes quite savoury meaty. Rather nice.

Medium ruby color with a touch of bricking towards the rim. Beautifully ripe, with note of red and dark cherries, black fruit, white pepper, dark minerality, a touch of sous bois, some spices too and some candied violets. Its medium-full bodied, with medium+acidity and medium+ tannin. Good length. This seems to get into the zone. I would give it another 2-3 years but it’s hard to stay away from this...

Virtually identical note to my last one, this is starting to open up with a short decant. Very nice Corton and good QPR.
