  • Coronation party, what a fitting wine. Initially a bit closed but then opened up nicely. Lovely red fruit core, very good balance and freshness. Tannins in check for a Corton. Not yet very complex but that will surely come with another 5 years bottle age. 93-94

  • PnP and did not decant. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Dark cherries, raspberries with a bit of dry finish. Drinking well already

  • Decanted for 2 hours. Pure red fruit notes of strawberries, raspberries, some red cherries, also some graphitey mineral notes, smoke, also some white pepper with more air, as well as some steel. It‘s medium bodied, with medium-high acidity and medium tannin that is silky. Very good length. A very pretty, fresh and pure Corton Clos du Roi that doesn‘t have the depth of the 2012 but amazing tension and purity.

  • Very similar tasting note to the one from my last bottle about a year ago. A juicy, sappy Corton-Clos du Roi with plenty of the vintage's signature freshness and beautiful red fruit aromatics as well as a fascinating vein of minerality adding complexity. Very good value too.

  • Medium ruby color with a touch of purple. Decanted for 2 hours. Jumps out of the glass with pure red fruit (sweet and sour red cherries, raspberries, also some small strawberries), but then there is also this minerality I associate with Corton (like graphite, also some steely notes), and plenty of spiciness that's also typical. As it opens up in the glass, lots of white pepper is showing up. It's medium-bodied but still has some punch, with pretty present (medium-high) acidity which is typical for the vintage) and medium+ tannin, that is a touch rough but still good. Good length. A super juicy, fresh but also elegant Corton Clos du Roi. I'm not sure if this will age very long but I would drink it over the next 6 - 8 years. It's already pretty now!
