  • No formal note: this is quite good and in good shape, but extremely tight. Decanting strongly recommended.

Nice Corton that is loyal to this strong bodied appellation, still young with some fruit and a nice structure, integrated oak with a slightly dry and rustic finish. 90-91

  • Red fruit nose, earthy, some sweetness. Taste red fruit, still quit some tannins but round and carried well by the fruit. Typical good quality corton, good to drink now or to leave in cellar to observe further development.

Mooi houtgebruik, volop rijpe tannines. Groene kruiden. Algemeen / potentieel: Een indrukwekkend glas met veel potentieel. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 16 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 91/100

Burgundy-Report

(Dubreuil-Fontaine Corton Clos du Roi) Medium colour. Intense, focused red fruit. In the mouth it's full and powerful and there's plenty of obvious tannin. At this stage the balance seems in favour of the structure, yet the clean flavours linger very nicely. Needs at least 6-8 years in the cellar I'd say.
