Very dark red color. PNP, drank 2+ glasses over 3 hours. This was off the list and pretty reasonable. Showed well, dark red fruits, pepper, spice, hint of roast meats, hints of caramel and a subtle touch of eucalyptus. The palate is medium bodied, black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, pepper, savory notes, nice tannins and a medium finish.

As a preamble - I like Australian Shiraz - but $12 is towards the lower in of pricing and at this price point from a big volume producer one cannot expect too much. This wine more or less lives up to its price - good value but not a great Shiraz. The nose is very thin, the color is a dark ruby red. The taste is also thin and there is only modest tannin present. This is an easy drinking wine that would go well with most red meats, but it falls well below my favorite Shiraz currently Molly Dooker - the Boxer. Twice the price - 10 times the pleasure.

Not much nose, but nice and smooth at the beginning and then the fruit comes forward after a couple hours of opening up.

big robust Aussie shiraz. Give this one a few years and it will be even better!
