Soft cork, thoroughly saturated. Bitter cherry, sous-bois. A bit muddled; the underbrush isn't clean like it should be. Good texture: firm, yet round. I'm not sure this is a sound bottle.

PnP, doesn't need a decant. Currant, cherry, floral, tea, forest floor aromas. Similar flavors, very complex with the red and black fruits dominating. Great balance. Long smooth finish.

-- decanted for approx. 45 min. before initial taste -- -- tasted non-blind over 1.5 hrs on Day 1; revisited on Day 5 -- -- from 375 mL --
NOSE: expressive; red-fruited (raspberry; Twizzlers licorice); high-toned; a bit floral and inky; smells young; boysenberry. Still smells very nice on Day 5.
BODY: youthful magenta-garnet color of medium depth; medium-light to medium bodied.
TASTE: "big" flavor -- a touch bitter -- but somehow also seems a touch watery; dirt -- not pretty; medium acidity; Awesome aromatics, but unappealing palate. Day 5: somewhat better now --- less muddled, less bitter; red-fruited. Strong HOLD recommendation on this for now.

Age has treated this very well. Just delicious. Soft, still enough fruit and a long finish. No reason to wait.
