Chassagne, Red Label and Chave (S.K.Y.): A full and complex array of red cherry and plum with intense spice and florals. The palate is round and layered with terrific power and refinement. The most ready bottle in the flight with decades of further cellaring potential.

Tasted blind, this wine had medium red center with tawny rims. The medium+ intensity nose offered up black cherries, wax, violets, and anise.
In the mouth, this wine was masculine with notable rounded tannin, great richness, and great length. I gave this bottle about 7 hours of air and this wine was still pretty tannic. Thus, I would advise PNP or decant for a full 12+ hours.
Clearly, this wine will last for decades. It was very impressive and if the tannins mellow further it may pick up points.

Super fresh, clean fruit. Perfect drinking window, fully mature but still going very strong.

Chassagne Grandes-Ruchottes Dinner with Some Giacosa and Chave (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL): Opened 3 hours before serving with a quick double decant. Rich and ripe combination of black and red cherry, maturing gracefully with lots of spice-driven nuance, but a surprising degree of sweetness on finish. Very good weight.
