Bright cranberry red in color. On the nose, it’s high-toned and fragrant, with bright red fruit aromas of raspberry and cherry, fresh roses, dried rose petals, a whiff of both sweet and peppery spices, and licorice. I love the profile of xinomavro—always strikes me as a mixture of nebbiolo and syrah, my two favorite red varieties. On the palate, all that youthful freshness is there with ripe juicy red fruit flavors and floral, almost rosewater flavors, but there’s also a surprising depth, with solid tannin and a well-built, well-balanced structure. A hint of stemminess, which doesn’t bother me one bit, and a bone dry finish that leaves behind savory tannin and a cigar-box woodsy/tobacco herbal character. This is just really delicious, high quality, expressive stuff, with great varietal and regional typicity, and excellent value. Can’t hope for more than that.

Toujours aussi coulant et frais, bien qu'il semble en retrait par rapport aux précédentes avec comme une dimension légèrement métallique qui transperce. Étrange. Tout de même très bon. Notre dernière.

13.5% - Clear, med ruby/ clean, med+ intensity - red cherry mixture, wild strawberry, cherry, rhubarb, blooming flowers / dry, med+ zippy acidity, med body, med- silky tannin, med+ length. A step up from the '14 we had the day before. Very pleasant bouquet and drinks so easily. I agree with other tasters as to the comparison with some cru beaujolais.

Aromas of cherry, candied raspberries, dried herbs, hint of dust. Silky entry, medium-bodied and nice clean and elegant texture on the midpalate, dried herb, pepper and cherry-raspberry flavours, fine-boned tannins emerge at end. Rather classy, yet I feel that this is not revealing all of its cards.
Would be interesting to see where this emerges in 2020. I don't think this has the structure that merits 10+ years ageing, but is more likely to peak in 5 years or so.

Beau fruit, avec les notes de terre qui rendent ces vins méditerranéens si bons. Tout un RQP!
