It was given 4 hour of air before serving. The nose was reductive with lemon, citrus peel, hazelnut and gunflint. On the palate, it showed excellent precision with flinty sensation that came along with razor sharp acidity. For Lafon’s 2013, I have a slight preference of his Charmes for its roundness and volume at this stage of the evolution.

Reductive with gunflint but also orange peel. Chalky minerality, intense citrus on the palate, bright acidity, so very good.

Not many notes, Lovely beginning aged Burgundy. I love this wine. Generous, hazelnut, saline, very precise finish. 96+
