Nice garnet and rusty color, rose and strawberries, already accessible. It would be good fun for a basic Barolo if, at almost 20 €, it weren't overpriced for that level.

Nose: rose, violet, cherry, pepper, tar, licorice Taste: medium bodied, medium+ acidity, high tannins, cherry, cranberry, black tea, leather, slightly rough, decent finish Obviously too young and a bit simple as for barolo but for the 12e this is still good qpr and entry level barolo

Just a little short of fruit and flavour but this inexpensive, entry-level barolo is still impressive and satisfying. Lovely traditional style: pale color, chewy tannins, classic rose and tar profile, pleasing astringency and bitter almond, sour cherry notes. Good stuff and a proper wine that hasn't been mucked about with hokey new world oakiness.
